This Fan-Favorite Feature Will Return to the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom With More Intrinsic Details

The title which all Nintendo fans are keenly waiting for is surely The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. A sequel to Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom will introduce many newer elements to the game. There has been a lot of speculation orienting the things that the audience got to see from the trailer footage.

But, it seems like there is more to what meets the eye. According to some reports, it seems like the sequel will also feature a return of one of the most favored elements of the early Zelda games.

Dungeons are coming back to The Legend of Zelda

Tears of the Kingdom hold a lot of anticipation. Especially with the speculations of whether the game might be the end of the Zelda series. Apart from this, the game is expected to bring some interesting concepts like time control and time travel into its fold. Among all these concepts, an intriguing thing that can be spotted is the presence of dungeons.

Breath of the Wild, the predecessor game, took a deviation from the vast dungeon concept to bring shrine-type mini-dungeons to the game. This was widely acclaimed by many, especially as these featured some very powerful bosses.

But, the want for vast dungeons was still present among many players. And from the available footage, it seems like the dungeons with vast explorable areas would be brought back into the game. These will also be an upgraded version of the dark spaces we witnessed in early games.

Especially because Hyrule sort of is already explored, and to make a more expandable area, the best option for the developers is to explore what’s beneath the grounds. Moreover, from the looks of it, these dungeons will also feature more bosses compared to their predecessors.

The narrative will probably take Link back and forth from dungeons to the surface and even to the floating islands that were spotted in the trailer. Moreover, many caves will also likely be accessible in the game as well.

All these surely are hyping up the arrival of Tears of the Kingdom. This massively anticipated title will be released on May 12, 2023, and will be available only for Nintendo Switch users. The gameplay video of the game is expected to surface at the end of this month, which will give more details on what to expect.
