Amidst the Easter festivities, April 9 stands as a day of importance for many but for quite the same reason. The ninth day of April is celebrated for one other thing as well. World ASMR Day also falls on the same day. On this unique day, let us take a look at the Journey that Amouranth has taken to fashion her successful ASMR career. Being one of the most prominent names in the streaming biz, Amo is the uncrowned queen of Twitch. However, did you know that her career did not begin with ASMR streams?

Amouranth and her ASMR journey

For Kaitlyn Siragusa, ASMR streams were not the first avenue she explored. Amouranth, at the beginning of her career, was keener on cosplays. Her content was oriented around this concept, and this genre marked the first step of Amo as a content creator. She earned her first penny as a streamer through this, and her love for doing more such content pushed her to invest her first ‘streamer-salary’ to buy a better laptop for streaming.

In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, Amo was seen talking about how these streams became the pivotal moment in her career. In 2016, Amo was invited to Twitch based on her cosplay and costume-making skills.

So, when did Amo actually come into the field of ASMR? Kaitlyn became quite active in the ASMR genre a bit later in her career, after her cosplay era. Though the Amouranth ASMR YouTube channel was created in 2014, she started garnering more momentum and exposure through her Hot Tub streams and ASMR content on Twitch.

But Amo faced widespread criticism from different fronts. Remember the whole debate on Hot Tub streams and related content on Twitch? The internet was a fuming pot as there were polarised opinions about the category on Twitch. Amo also fell victim to the rampant bans that were happening on the streaming platform. The ASMR journey of Amo was quite bumpy with multiple temporary bans coming her way.

Amo’s appeal toward ASMR

Amouranth in interaction with xQc revealed that the theme of ASMR always intrigued her. “I kind of like going down the rabbit hole with weird ASMR videos on YouTube and there’s this one that I really like. It’s so simple but it’s it’s so genius,” was Amoranth’s point of view on the whole category.

The ASMR queen paved her way to Twitch’s throne in 2021. We can call this timeline the ‘boom’ of her career. The streamer pulled some insane numbers in regard to viewership through her ASMR content and Hot Tub streams. The viewership and returning audience were so impressive that she surpassed the likes of many popular streamers like Pokimane, and went to be crowned as the most prominent streamer on Twitch.

2021-2022: Accolades follow the ASMR Queen

She did not let the momentum wear off after that. Throughout 2021, Amo maintained her top spot with her variety of streams, which garnered her fame and popularity. She went on to win the Best ASMR Streamer Award at the 2022 Streamer Awards. Her accolades that came following her streams did not stop there. She was nominated and later awarded the Favorite Creator award at the AVN Awards ceremony.

Established forte at different platforms.

Amouranth later became active in ‘subscriber-only’ platforms like OnlyFans. This move paved a massive income path for the ASMR queen. According to her own statements, Amouranth was able to make millions through her OnlyFans channel.

Though OnlyFans seems to be a better option in regard to revenue generation, Amo still sticks with her free streaming handles on Twitch and YouTube.

There have been cases of shadow-bans happening on such social platforms, and the streamer is pretty always cautious to not fall victim to these. At the moment, Amouranth is gearing up for her boxing debut. We can see her practice sessions through her recent streams, but still, she finds the time to pursue her ASMR and tub streams.

At the time of writing Amouranth stands 6.4 million on her Twitch channel while her main YouTube channel stands at 978K subscribers. Additionally the ASMR page ‘Amouranth ASMR’ boasts 735K subscribers.
