Several notable personalities, including the President of the United States, Joe Biden, have condemned the court’s decision. “State laws banning abortion are taking effect today – some of them so extreme that women can be punished for protecting their own health,” Biden tweeted.

Alongside Joe Biden, several politicians, celebrities, streamers, and news publications from around the world have also shared their regretful thoughts on the ruling.

Twitch streamer Pokimane took to Twitter to share her views on the verdict. “They’re not pro-life, they’re pro-minimizing-women’s-rights.” Pokimane tweeted.
Later in her stream, she talked about the same and said, “I booked a ticket back to Canada,”. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where she moved almost a decade ago.
they’re not pro-life, they’re pro-minimizing-women’s-rights.
if they were pro life, we’d have better gun control, universal healthcare, better support for homeless people & those in need.
don’t be fooled by their jargon.

Alongside Pokimane, many other streamers like Neekolul, and Valkyrae raised their voices and shared strong opinions.
Why the FUCK are dinosaurs in our Supreme Court, anyone that qualifies for the early bird special shouldn’t be deciding on women’s reproductive rights…when the only thing they are able to reproduced at their prehistoric age is a fucking headache on women across the US today…

I’m currently not proud to be an American.
Women no longer have body autonomy.
Children are slaughtered in schools due to outdated gun laws and lack of mental health support.
Millions of Americans can’t afford basic medication and healthcare due to obscene costs.
Disgusting.

Mark Plier had a strong opinion.
I don’t care if you don’t want to hear this; overturning Roe v. Wade is an erosion of women’s rights and reinforces this absurd, backwards notion that women shouldn’t be allowed to be in control of their own bodies. If you DON’T think that’s absurd and backwards, fuck you.

it’s so sad bc criminalizing abortion rights does nothing but make it unsafe for younger women, poc, + those w/o the same resources as the wealthy
it’s very weird growing up in the 2000s and having so much hope in the future yet living until now to witness this lol

I’m shaking thinking about how this is going to set a precedent for future rulings. What’s going to happen to contraceptive rights? What about same sex marriages? Trans rights? We gonna criminalize interracial couples???? What fucking direction are we headed

stop acting like you care about the “child’s life” if you continue to vote for people doing NOTHING to help the children being shot in schools.

why are we moving backwards https://t.co/C4tDJOX33m

SCOTUS’s abortion ruling has the entire country divided
US Supreme Court’s decision to change a fundamental right may have massive consequences. Although pro-life activists have expressed relief at the ruling, pro-choice activists refer to the situation as a huge blow to the concept of fundamental rights. With the law taking effect from today, conservative states will have the freedom to make abortion entirely illegal.
