Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has been going through a very complicated phase lately. Sometimes it appears to be going well and then players start complaining due to several unignorable issues. Seems like the troubles for Activision’s blockbuster installment are not going to end anytime sooner.

The game received a new seasonal update earlier this month amid high expectations from the fans. While it’s been doing a pretty good job of keeping them engaged with the addition of maps and modes, not everything is fine with Season 3 in its entirety. Most of it has to do with the bundles that are now frustrating the users.

Modern Warfare II is loosely based on Infinity Ward’s 2009 Modern Warfare 2 title. That’s why it has already got a lot of elements inspired by the classic. Some of the existing weapons and maps are somewhat based on the original game, which is a good thing to please the lovers of nostalgia.

However, there’s one thing that is now making some Call of Duty Modern Warfare II players angry. With the release of Season 3, the devs also rolled out fresh bundles in the store. Among them, there are also many bundles featuring cosmetic items and Operator skins directly inspired by the 2009 blockbuster. Take for example the Ghost bundle consisting of the fan-favorite character, along with weapons catered to other modes like DMZ. They are there to help players take an added advantage in the extraction-based mode.

Recently, a Reddit user took to the social platform to express their disappointment towards the makers. The individual complained that the game is churning out classic items through pocket-burning bundles. And that it’s just a way to earn from the fans who will opt for such content because of their attachment to the original Modern Warfare 2. “They squeezing the nostalgia for as much $$ as possible,” read the title of the post.

Activision’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is now available across the globe with its Season 3 update. Players can own it on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
