“They Know Stuff That I Don’t Know” – Father of Six, Shaquille O’Neal Reveals How His Kids Embarrass Him in NBA 2K23

Video games have brought many communities and co-joined many fields of entertainment. Above all, it becomes a medium for sharing moments of togetherness through gaming sessions. And Shaquille O’Neal has shared what happens when he competes against his sons inside the NBA 2K video game.

Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal, commonly known as Shaq, is a former American professional basketball player. The NBA Hall of Fame player is known for his plays and four championship wins. However, the gaming world seems to display something else when he goes up against his sons.

Following the release of NBA 2K23, For The Win interviewed Shaq for a question-and-answer session about the game. The former player appears in the game along with the Inside The NBA hosts Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith for a simulated version of the halftime show. Moreover, he has partnered with Papa John’s and Mountain Dew to unleash the new MTN DEW NBA 2K23 Player’s Pack Bundle.

As the session went on, a question came up about the gaming session that Shaq has with his sons. He said, “They know stuff that I don’t know. When the game first came out, I used to kill them.” But what came next was unexpected, yet couldn’t be denied given the genes that the four-time champion passed on.

Furthermore, he said, “But then when I was out working, doing what you do, they were practicing and practicing and they become monsters — especially my youngest son, Shaqir. He don’t miss. He can talk to you and not even look at the screen and be moving the joystick and he still won’t miss. One time I was playing against him and I couldn’t even get past halfcourt.”

Given all these points, it would be true to say that the zeal for basketball, both on-court and off-court, lives in the O’Neal family. But for now, one can say that the family will enjoy their time playing the newest addition to the NBA 2K series.
