Nintendo Switch is on the last leg of its life cycle, and it has been living its last year in luxury, with excellent games like Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime Remastered, and upcoming games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
If numerous recent leaks and rumors are to be believed, this console would get a successor by 2024. And once it does, no new games would be made for Switch, at least, Nintendo would turn off the first-party push. So here are the top 5 Nintendo Switch games that we would love to see remastered for Switch 2.
Super Mario Odyssey

This is already one of the best-looking games on the Nintendo Switch. But those jagged edges showed the sacrifices Nintendo had to make to run that game at 60 FPS. Yet it must be proclaimed how good that game looked.
It would be exciting to see it in at least 1440p running at the same framerate and with other visual improvements, maybe even HDR.
Astral Chain
Power-wise, the Nintendo Switch is an average console. It’s good when portable, but not so good when docked. Platinum Games is a developer that makes gorgeous games; it might be hard for them to make something ugly until and unless a publisher pushes them to do so.
Astral Chain proved this point well enough with this futuristic game featuring a really good mixture of straightforward combat and a bit of policing. But it ran at a choppy framerate, which took away the essence of its gameplay.

It would be great to see this game running at 60 FPS; even if it’s running at the same resolution as its original iteration, 60 FPS can add a lot of value to this game.
Doom/Doom Eternal
Doom was a revelation on the Nintendo Switch; it was unbelievable for many as to how flawlessly it worked on Nintendo’s hybrid console. It was inconceivable that it even ran on the Nintendo Switch.
While people were still not over this game, Bethesda and Panic Button released Doom Eternal! This one looked even better than its previous installment; even at the sub-native resolution, these games looked too good.
How cool would it be if they both ran at 60 FPS at native resolution? No more visual upgrades than resolution would do, but at least bring native resolution and an updated framerate.
Crysis Remastered
Fans still remember when Crysis was all the rage back in 2007. There were debates about its visuals and about the best hardware that can run this game at maximum settings. Years later, this game is now running on a portable console, at a fraction of the power of today’s most powerful PC.
But to run on Switch, this game had to leave a lot behind. It would be an interesting thing to see how this game would look if it got some more power on the system it’s running on.

Luigi’s Mansion 3
People talk about how good games look; they talk about how visually stunning the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie is, but people often forget how good Luigi’s Mansion 3 looked. This game is just too good to look at; it’s unbelievable that it’s running on the Nintendo Switch, a console many call underpowered.

It would look even better when improved visuals and HDR are thrown into this mixture. This is the brightest contender for this list.
