Any native will vouch that life in L.A. is not easy. Other than skyrocketing real estate prices, lack of public transport, and pollution, another glaring issue living in LA presents is the lack of safety. Though Los Angelis is dubbed the ‘city of angels’ in Spanish, online influencer Valkyrae shared an incident that could be deemed nothing but ‘devilish’.

Rachell Hofstetter aka Valkyrae is an American influencer. Starting her career as a streamer on Twitch, Val soon gained a lot of attention due to her infectious charms and skills in games. Currently, Valkyrae only streams on YouTube and live in L.A. which is deemed the mecca of YouTubers and influencers.

Many popular names on YouTube, and Twitch circles, such as, QTCinderella, Pokimane, and HasanAbi, among others live in Los Angeles, California. Although, each one of them could often be heard complaining about life in the city. But being the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Southern California, L.A. presents a lot of opportunities for the influencers. In the last week of February, popular streamer streams, Ludwig, in a social media post revealed that his dream car had been stolen. During the power outage in LA, someone had managed to steal the streamer’s car.

Valkyrae also lives in the city. Moreover, she is the co-owner of the global esports company, 100 Thieves, whose headquarters are also situated in Los Angeles. Although from a distance, life in Los Angeles may seem full of luxury and glamour, the reality holds a much darker picture. On April 1, 2023, Valkyrae shared a tweet. In the tweet, she attached two pictures of her Lamborghini, which is in very bad shape. Due to what seemed like an act of vandalism. “It truly was just a matter of time livin’ in LA,” said, Val.

Fans showed their concerns towards the streamer

The fans soon poured into the comments sections to express their thoughts and concerns. Streamer Foolish gamer said, “These April fools’ pranks getting out of hand”. As coincidentally the incident happened right on the day of pranks, April 1st, so it wasn’t surprising that some people connected the dots and thought it was some kind of a prank.
