After the epic double victory against Swarmz and Luis Alcaraz Pineda, JJ “KSI” Olatunji was again set to enter the boxing ring in 2023. He was supposed to fight against the Bellator star Dillon Danis on January 14 at the OVO Arena.

There was a lot of hype for this fight, especially because of all the press and online banter they both were doing. But the English YouTube star’s fight with Danis would no longer happen, as the latter pulled away from the bout.

KSI would now be fighting the FaZe Clan co-founder Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira on the same date. The YouTuber recently gave an interview with FaZe Temperrr, where he shared his thoughts on Dillon Danis pulling away from the fight.

KSI claims Dillon Danis had no excuse to pull away from the fight compared to Alex Wassabi

The 29-year-old was really upset with the MMA star for moving away from the fight, as it was the second time something like this happened in his boxing stint. KSI was once supposed to fight Alex Wassabi, but the latter had to withdraw his participation due to a concussion from another fight, which led Olatunji to fight Swarmz and Pineda.

KSI stated in his latest interview that the two pulled-away fights have made him feel like he “aged 20 years.” However, he isn’t that upset with Wassabi and even gave a “benefit of the doubt” as the latter couldn’t make it to the fight due to an injury. But that isn’t the case for Dillon Danis.

Olatunji said, “There was literally no excuse. His excuse was, Nah, I don’t fancy anymore. Like he signed the paper, he did everything, and I did literally all the press. [It] got all the clout and did everything. [He] said he’s gonna destroy me, beat me up, dash coffee in my face, pissed me off to the highest degree, and then just peace out.”

The YouTube star believes Dillon Danis’s act was extremely “disappointing and disgraceful.” He even ended up calling the Bellator star “the scum of the earth.” The 29-year-old claimed that Danis should not enter any other combat sports event after this disrespectful act.

KSI eventually thanked FaZe Temperrr for agreeing to fight him on such short notice. There is already more hype for this matchup among fans. It would be interesting to see who would win the bout on January 14.
