Twitch queen Pokimane has returned to streaming after a month-long break. Following this, she has been on numerous podcasts discussing the platform. And she has portrayed her views about what could or should be the next Twitch meta.

To clarify, meta is regarded as an established trend that becomes popular and brings exceptional results. While meta is avidly used in gaming, it is flexible enough to communicate the idea. Hence, Pokimane talks of the meta on Twitch while appearing on the Trash Taste podcast. And it’s not Valorant.

Pokimane reveals the present and future of the Twitch meta

Pokimane has been known for her IRL and gaming streams. She has entertained her audience through interactive streaming sessions throughout her career. Moreover, fans enjoy her streams on Valorant and Among Us. One can say that the respective categories are popular on the platform. And Pokimane, a crucial contributor to the community, has voiced her views about the meta on the streaming platform.

When asked about what the current meta is, she said, “I feel like there’s no meta right now.” Furthermore, she was asked about what potentially could be the next meta. To which she replied, “I think it’s in an odd way IRL for a little bit, and in general like traffic on Twitch (makes a hand gesture of going downhill) a little bit. I think there is not gonna be like a huge gain for a while. There is not gonna be another Fortnite or Among Us maybe for years or ever again.”

Also, she mentioned, “Honestly, the next only thing I can think of is like some crazy like VR thing.” While the world awaits virtual reality to enter the world in its full strength, it seems that Pokimane has great expectations of it becoming a big thing on the streaming platform. Surprisingly, she also admitted that if she lived in Japan, her “IRL streams would never end.”

What the Twitch queen thinks is the ideal recipe for the meta?

Pokimane started her streaming career at the age of 17. Since then, she has accomplished a reputation on the platform and stands as a fan favorite. Therefore, she feels that the next big thing basically “has to be innovative.” And she bases this idea by giving the example of Fortnite and Among Us.

She said that she feels Fortnite was the “first crazy” and Among Us was the second. She supports this by saying later that Fortnite was seen to be played by many known celebrities. And Among Us received the hype during the pandemic. Given all these points, it can be said that Pokimane expects the next Twitch meta to be innovative that can potentially rule the trending charts.
