The teaser didn’t unveil much but gave fans a hint about who will be playing Geralt from Rivia. The teaser debunked the myth that Liam Hemsworth would be the voice actor for the animated movie, finally announcing that Doug Cockle, the original voice for Geralt from the games, will return.
Doug Cockle has been the voice for Geralt since the very first game. His voice has shaped the personality of the tough but caring Witcher, Geralt. Hardcore Witcher fans will never forget the work Doug Cockle did in the games by being the first voice for Geralt from Rivia. This was noticed by the production team and Doug was brought back for the animated movie.
As reported by EW, Doug Cockle told Netflix, “I am super excited to announce my return to the world of the Witcher voicing Geralt of Rivia once again, but this time in the upcoming animated feature The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep.” He continued, “It’s been an honor to work with Studio Mir and Netflix on this new animated film, and I’m thrilled to be able to share this next chapter of the White Wolf’s journey with fans of the Witcher universe. Mire taedh aen stráede!”
