Sony’s Playstation console has numerous role-playing games. Recently released witcher 3 is currently being seen by fans and critics as the ultimate western RPG available on PlayStation 5.
While people enjoy that iconic game, Sony’s PlayStation Twitter account had something else in mind. They took it upon themselves to remind people that PlayStation has had some really good RPGs before too. And to do that, they did not even have to mention Skyrim even once.

During the late 2000s, only one RPG with scientific themes was seen as essential by fans. And that was Fallout, but the Fallout series only hit consoles after Bethesda developed Fallout 3. Before that Bioware released Mass Effect for Xbox 360. The game was really something. The main character commander Shepard was a character people loved. The character made his choices and lived with them.
Shepard’s story only came to Playstation 3 in 2012, five years after its Xbox launch, but it was successful nevertheless. Eventually, Bioware completed their Mass Effect trilogy which ended with much fanfare.

Eventually, the games made it to current-gen consoles in form of Legendary Edition. It contained all three games and is currently the ultimate way for gamers to get into this series.
Sony probably caught onto the Legendary Edition’s success and tweeted an image of The Milky Way galaxy’s map as it’s represented in the games. This tweet made a lot of Mass Effect fans very nostalgic.

The responses to the tweet were highly positive, they showed how much gamers actually cared for this series. From references to just nostalgic comments, fans described a variety of reasons for their attachment to the game.

Even though the series has such a monumental fan following, its latest game has not garnered a very positive response from fans or critics.
Mass Effect andromeda was released a while ago on Playstation 4, Xbox, and PC and was not what some would call adequate. It was riddled with numerous performance and graphical glitches. Its story was subpar and the promise that the developers made, that of numerous explorable planets was not fulfilled.

So it made sense that EA took a decision to launch Legendary Edition and it also made sense for Bioware to start working on the next installment in the series.
