The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a massive game. Players can do anything at any point in this game. They can fight the strongest monsters and climb the highest peaks at their will.

For every new powerful enemy and trying biome, players would also need a piece of armor to protect them from the damage and negative effects that come with them. So here are the best pieces of armor players should get and the locations where they can get them before embarking on their adventure!

Barbarian Helm

Those Bloodmoon enemies can be pretty frustrating indeed; wouldn’t it be awesome if one could dispose of them pretty fast? To be able to do so, players just need to get their hands on this intimidating-looking helmet. It would increase their attack power and make them look pretty menacing.

This helmet can be found inside a chest in Robred Dropoff Cave.

Barbarian Armor

Now attack power is everything in a game like Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Weapons do not count for much in their original form and they break pretty fast. Hence, it is good if players have armor handy with increased attack power.

There’s a cave near the stables on Crenel Hills; if players enter it and run past the mini-boss, they will see a crystalized roof, they just need to destroy it and climb up. Up there, they would find a chest holding this armor piece.

  • Starting stats: 3 defense

Climbing Gear

Now this one is pretty nifty; if players are tired of their stamina running out while they climb those huge mountains, they just need to find these. They would increase Link’s climbing speed and make it easier for him to reach those high points.

To find the main piece of this armor, just head to the New Serene Stables and find a sinkhole nearby. Now just follow the river inside the sinkhole. Once players reach a waterfall, they will find that treasure chest behind the waterfall.

  • Skill: Climbing speed up
  • Starting stats: 3 defense

The Climbing Bandana

This would add to the original climbing gear’s abilities and improve the player’s climbing speed even further. This bandana can be found in Ploymos Mountain Cave. Players just have to find a cave behind the waterfall. This would not be easy, though; they have to climb through a bunch of slippery platforms.

Use those sticky lizards or frogs to prevent slipping down, and find yourself at the top of those rocks.

  • Skill: Climb Speed Up
  • Starting stats: 3 defense

Zora Helm

This is a piece that’s pretty unique, other than giving players the usual ability to just do something faster or better. This one allows players the ability to attack while in water, which comes in handy when some water enemies decide to be a nuisance.

To get this armor just find the cave on Floating Scales Island.

  • Skill: Swim Speed Up, and spin attack in the water
  • Starting stats: 3 Defense

Zora Armor

A very good-looking piece of armor that allows players to swim faster. And if that is not enough, it also gives them the ability to swim up the waterfalls. It’s a very nifty piece of armor that was also a thing in Breath of the Wild.

Players can get this armor when they complete the “Restoring the Zora armor” quest.

  • Skill: Swim Faster and Swim up the waterfalls
  • Starting Stats: 3 defense

Miner’s Mask

The newest addition to Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are those underground areas; just like Elden Ring, these areas are treacherous and they are dark. Brighbloom helps a lot in these areas, but just in case one runs out of these shiny flowers, they can get their hands on this help and light themselves up!

This armor piece can be found in the depths near the abandoned Kara Kara Mine.

  • Skill: Makes Link Glow!
  • Starting Stats: 3 defense

Miner’s Top

Yet another piece of armor that would help players a lot if they wandered into those dark, deep areas. You can’t go around shooting Brightboom flowers everywhere, after all. This game would be a lot easier if fans just got themselves these two pieces and just wore them on their expositions.

To find this top, players just need to enter the depths close to Daphnes Canyon Mine and look for the chest holding it.
