In the presentation, Eiji revealed that the development of Tears of the Kingdom has been completed. To celebrate this wrap-up and to give fans some more information before the release, Eiji showcased some un-discussed aspects of the new game. Among all these reveals, the one that gained the most attention was the new abilities.

Ascend: This ability could be the dream feature of speed runners. With this ability, players can lift themselves to the ceiling of any closed structure, such as caves, dungeons, and more. It can also be utilized to reach a high ground for gliding or clip through walls and scale mountains, towers, and more.

Fuse: As the name suggests, Fuse lets the players combine two objects. Giving them the power to create much more creative and innovative weapons, vehicles, and more. Each item has a special purpose, like fusing an eye with an arrow will make it seek its enemies in mid-air.

Recall: This gives Link the power to turn back time and make an object go back to its original position. If a rock tumbles down from the mountain, rewind can make it go back to the top, crushing all the enemies and objects in its path.

Ultrahand: This ability will help the players lift and relocate heavy objects in order to create structures and builds. It is very much akin to the magnesis in BOTW.

Other than these abilities, the showcase revealed that the game’s HUD will be very similar to Breath of the world. The Zonai constructs who are the primary enemy of the game will not only appear on the sky islands but also the ground. Zonai labyrinths in the sky may act as large dungeons in the sky.
