The Zelda franchise has adorned every official Nintendo system for over almost 35 years. With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom rapidly approaching, you may find yourself longing to delve into Link’s history. Nonetheless, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a number of important ideas and concepts that are never clearly explained in the game.

The game hinted at them at times, but for the most part, you are supposed to figure them out on your own. This is precisely why minor elements contribute to the game’s great replay value.

10. Customization of the Armour

Breath of the Wild is the first Legend of Zelda game to feature set advantages on armor sets acquired, which implies that when a complete set of gear is worn, Link’s skills get additional qualities. This enables a greater degree of personalization in how a player approaches a territory or specific adversaries. When player liberty is done well, as it is in Breath of the Wild, the adventure experience is only increased, and it is difficult not to become captivated with Breath of the Wild.

9. It is Stone Cold Steve Austin’s favorite Zelda game!

Stone Cold Steve Austin is a big fan of the Nintendo Switch, which may surprise you. The WWE released a tape from an edition of Broken Skull Sessions in which Austin asked Cody ‘The American Nightmare’ Rhodes multiple questions. So, of course, Austin brought up one of the most contentious questions.

Austin began the interview by asking Rhodes what he thought was the best Legend of Zelda game, and the American Nightmare replied with Ocarina of Time.

“No, dude,” Austin said confidently. “The Wild Breath.”

You are welcome to disagree with Austin, but good luck convincing him.

8. Crossover between Breath of the Wild and Princess Mononoke

Princess Mononoke was Hayao Miyazaki’s first picture to break into the American mainstream. Not only is the vastness of Breath of the Wild reminiscent of Studio Ghibli landscapes, but Link’s everlasting relationship with his horse, Epona, as well.

7. Dark Link is constantly on the lookout in Breath of the Wild

Dark Link is a recurrent adversary in the Zelda franchise. This shadow doppelganger of Link can use several of Link’s own attacks, frequently copying him. Gamers will always confront a fierce struggle against the Dark Link, and will always be well rewarded for their efforts.

Someone shows a different dark Link in Breath of the Wild. Rather than combating to death, gamers get to play as Dark Link himself.

6. The Divine Beasts theme includes SOS morse code

Each Divine Beast has an “SOS” morse code signal, similar to Revali’s signal arriving late due to his noisy and proud demeanor.

5. The statues have a morbid spin to them

Throughout this broken and scarred Kingdom, we may locate several monuments that act as Korok Seeds puzzles. If the void is filled, a Korok will appear and give the hero a seed.
These are obviously simply minor riddles to solve throughout the game, but they might be hiding a grim reality. These little statues are inspired by Japanese Jizo figurines.

Jizo sculptures, commonly known as “Womb of the Earth,” are sculpted after Jizo Bosatsu; the Children’s and Travelers’ Protector. These sculptures are also considered to protect the spirits of children who have died.

4. Crouch if you can’t fight

Not everyone needs to be good at fighting. And that is also no problem at all. While you get the hang of it, there are many foes that you can survive just by crouching. Guardians, Lynel, and Taluses are among the numerous huge adversaries that may be crouched under.

3. Link’s Selfie

Link may take selfies to help memorialize your experience. If you land on top of a guardian leap and block on top of it, you may just sit there and the guardian will not move.

2. Investigating is important

Investigate anything that seems odd or out of place, such as if you spot a group of seagulls or something that seems fascinating or just doesn’t seem right. You never know what you could find, such as a group of porgies, so it’s best to check it out. These will respawn along with the majority of other items in the open world, including the stones and, of course, the enemies.

In Hatano Village, you can reassign your heart containers and stamina vessels. If you have spoken to the statue at the bottom of the hill on the opposite side of the village entrance, you’ll start a side quest, but the statue will steal some of your essence; if you speak to it again, it will let you get back what was taken from you. The statue also offers you a deal in which you can sell it as one of your heart containers or stamina vessels.
