Amid the fans’ excitement for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, Lora Sauls from Universal Studios discussed with the media about bringing rides that are true to the source material. She further delved into the team’s wish to include more original performers. To that effect, The Last of Us team brought the original voice actors Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker to record new dialogues for the haunted house theme park.
Sauls said- “We did voiceover recordings with them and they re-recorded our entire dialogue for our haunted house. So we were very, very excited to work with both Troy and Ashley on the re-recording of our haunted house dialogue.”
According to Saul Universal Studios team was dedicated to making this horror house as realistic as possible. This is why they contacted the game’s developers Naughty Dog and asked for permission to help them out in bringing more in-game aspects to the house realistically. Additionally, she revealed how Neil Druckmann, the writer and co-creator of both games, asked the Studio to keep Pittsburgh as the setting for the house. As fans would know, this is a nod to The Last of Us I.
In a nutshell, the preparations looked quite crazy for this year’s Halloween. Furthermore, the team will bring a weapon table similar to the video game’s narrative to pick up devices and upgrade their gear.
