Naughty Dog’s crown jewel has become special for the fans who have been playing the games under the franchise for the past few years. Thanks to the insane success received by the series, it will now witness the debut of the first ever live-action TV series from HBO.

Actors, Pedro Pascal, and Bella Ramsey, are playing the iconic roles of Joel Miller and Ellie, in The Last of Us. Despite an official announcement for the project, the makers kept the fans waiting a little extra for a proper trailer. But now, it’s here and has already set the momentum going in full flow for the launch of the show on HBO Max, while attracting unmatched attention on social media.

The Last of Us trailer for HBO TV series surpasses 10 million views under 24 hours!

On the eve of The Last of Us Day on September 26, Tuesday, Naughty Dog decided to give a big surprise to the community. They revealed the highly anticipated, first trailer for the upcoming TV series based on the post-apocalyptic game. It will be an adaptation of the first part that originally arrived in 2013 for the PlayStation 4.

Speaking of the trailer itself, it showed Pedro and Bella, portraying some really intense and emotional moments as Joel and Ellie. Together, they will have to endure and survive, no matter what. Moreover, The Last of Us trailer has turned out to be a record success for Naughty Dog on social media. Within 24 hours, it has already crossed 10 million views on the official Twitter account of the developer.

To be precise, the mind-blowing clip has garnered over 13 million views so far, as of this writing.

It was literally unexpected to see a trailer performing so well on Twitter while shattering expectations. However, it wasn’t something surprising, given the craze for the franchise on the whole.

Talking about the HBO Max series, it has Craig Mazin as the main writer. He’s an Emmy award-winner and is known popularly for his work on the blockbuster show Chernobyl. Original director, Neil Druckmann, is also involved in the project. Kantemir Balagov is the director of the pilot episode while Gustavo Santaolalla, returns as the composer.
