The Last of Us 2 and Hogwarts Legacy Might Be Headed to PlayStation Plus

Sony has a way of surprising PlayStation fans. Sometimes they do it by surprising and announcing games like Demon Souls Remakes; other times, they do so by giving away free games like Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition. Most times fans are left happier with everything they get from their choice of platform. However, sometimes they feel betrayed by the decisions Sony makes.

This was seen recently when Sony decided to hike the price of the PlayStation Plus subscription significantly. Fans kept wondering if they would get something in return following the increase in price, but that announcement never came. But a recent leak suggests fans might get two massive games through this service soon.

Leak suggests PlayStation Plus Premium Subscribers are getting two major Triple-A titles soon!

Three years after its launch, 2020’s Game of The Year, The Last of Us 2 remains one of the most intense, tragic and beautifully crafted stories ever told in a video game. Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog went above and beyond to create a sequel for the massively successful The Last of Us, which released in 2013.

The good news is that those who have yet to experience this exciting game might be able to do so for free if they have a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription. This speculation has risen thanks to the updated banner of PlayStation Plus Premium on the PS Store. They showcase three games on that banner: The Last of Us Part 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and Hogwarts Legacy.

While Horizon Forbidden West is already available on this subscription. One wonders if Sony is adding Hogwarts Legacy to its library too. There’s a chance this might happen. It’s on the banner and would soon be the only game on that banner to not be available to PS Plus Premium Subscribers to download and play.

On the other hand, some state that Hogwarts Legacy is on that banner because Premium subscribers can access a trial of this game on the PS Store. If that’s the case, at least The Last of Us Part 2 is coming, which is still a sweet deal. Meanwhile, there’s talk about the game getting a remastered version as well. What’s happening there?

Is The Last of Us 2 getting remastered?

By now, every gamer out there must be aware of the fact that Sony and Naughty Dog might be planning a remaster of The Last of Us Part 2 for PlayStation 5 and PC. This information was leaked recently through the LinkedIn page of one of the developers working on the game. It is being suggested that this remaster will launch sometime next year and will give players access to increased visual fidelity, resolution, and frame-rate. And there could be more gameplay and a little something from the game’s musical composer too!

Let’s wait and see which one of these speculations and rumors turns out to be true.
