Fans have highly appreciated what Epic Games has done with OG Fortnite. Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 6 is now live, reintroducing captivating features from the past that had been forgotten over time. The recent update touched up on the map, introduced vehicles, and reworked the weapon pools. The reworked weapon pool brings back a gem that most players have missed for a while.

With OG Fortnite, players are getting to revisit some of the game’s most iconic weapons that were vaulted over 6 years. The update reintroduces some previously vaulted weapons from Chapter 1 Season 6. Among all the weapons from the nostalgic patch, one weapon stands out the most.

In this update to OG Fortnite, players will get to see the return of the Heavy Assault Rifle. This weapon is a fully automatic weapon that has a low fire rate and is good for medium-range combat. The main benefit of this gun is that it is decently effective in long-range situations too.

By dealing substantial damage to opponents closing in on the player, the Heavy Assault Rifle’s output positions it as a widely preferred primary weapon. Some drawbacks of the weapon are that upon shooting for too long in the automatic mode, the gun tends to be less accurate.

While the Heavy Assault Rifle boasts significant damage output, its relatively low fire rate generally renders it less effective for swiftly demolishing structures. The weapon is quite loud and can often give away the player’s position in the game. Overall, it is definitely a weapon that will be “heavily” used in the meta.

With veteran players having an edge in understanding the spray patterns, newer players will be able to get used to the gun pretty soon. That being said, it is a must-try for any new player. Along with the Heavy Assault Rifle, players will also get access to other weapons from Chapter 1 Season 6. Weapons like the Six Shooter, Clinger, Chiller Trap, Port-a-Fortress, and Mounted Turrets have all been unvaulted.
