Diablo 4 players have got a golden opportunity in the ongoing The Haunting event in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. They can get an exclusive reward by participating in the huge crossover, featuring Warzone, between two of Activision‘s popular franchises. Not to mention that it’s bringing together the two iconic and beloved IPs in a unique manner, to say the least.

For the uninitiated, Modern Warfare II and Warzone recently received a mid-season update. In The Haunting event under Warzone, the devs have revealed multiple game modes. Operation Nightmare is one such mode featured in the battle royale after the mid-season update. It has none other than The Butcher, from Diablo 4, as the mini-boss. If players are able to take him down, they will receive his prized Meat Hook to use in Diablo 4.

Now that’s something really amazing to witness inside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone. Undoubtedly, it’s a unique way for Activision to promote one game inside the other.

Here are the exact steps players need to carry out to earn the Meat Hook from Warzone:

  1. Players must link their Battle.net account to their Activision account by accessing the Profile tab on the Call of Duty website.
  2. Slay The Butcher in Call of Duty: Warzone by first uncovering a portal to his otherworldly lair. Defeat him in combat on either Al Mazrah or Vondead.
  3. The reward will be eventually granted to one’s Battle.net account. It may take up to 4 days to appear.
  4. For players who have killed The Butcher before linking their Activision and Battle.net accounts, they need not worry. Once they link their accounts, the reward will still make its way to their Diablo 4 Wardrobe in up to 4 days. Important note: players must have a Scythe equipped in order to view the transmog.

There’s a Soul Capture event going on right now across Multiplayer, battle royale, and DMZ formats. Players can collect as many Souls as possible. They can do so by simply killing their opponents in online matches. As expected, Souls can be redeemed to win exclusive rewards throughout the Haunting’s duration.
