The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was absolutely not as it was supposed to be. After being in development for eight straight years, fans were rooting very high for this game. But this game totally failed to quench the thirst of the gamers. But with the new Phantom Liberty DLC, things seem to be changing.

The newly launched expansion of the game is already taking fans as well as critics by storm. This DLC is getting more love than it got for the base game. Even many complicated critics are overwhelmed by this epic comeback by CD Project Red.

High acclaim from the critics

Cyberpunk 2077 is already regaining its lost spot with its Phantom Liberty DLC. A recent review from a well-known game critic and walkthrough video maker is at least stating that. This critic has stated that “Phantom Liberty is without a doubt one of the greatest pieces of expansion done to any game that I’ve ever played.”

He has wholeheartedly recommended trying out this expansion to every Cyberpunk fan there, and he is assured that fans won’t be disappointed. The game is also a blast to explore, as the story being told is filled with fantastic cast members.

He has also thanked CD Project Red for the unfathomed passion they have shown in making this great return to the game, despite a very rough start. The game is right now in the early access period, but the real fun is yet to begin as the expansion has just fully launched today.

This DLC is winning everywhere, wherever it steps its feet. This expansion has now received a “very positive” rating on Steam based on over a thousand user reviews in just a few hours of its launch. The base game was offering a huge 40% discount to compensate for its bad performance. But after the launch of Phantom Liberty, the base game is leading the top seller chart on Steam, followed by the DLC.

This game is acing on Metacritic as well. The PC version of Phantom Liberty right now has a Metascore of 89 based on the 49 critic reviews. On the other hand, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions hit 88 (43 critic reviews) and 89 (12 critic reviews), respectively.

It is a huge win for Phantom Liberty, how it pulled up Cyberpunk 2077 from its failed past and is now showing a new path of revival. With tons of new features and huge improvements in every aspect of the game, fans are already going gaga over this title.
