Rockstar Games have announced they are working on a Grand Theft Auto sequel. But that doesn’t mean they can’t make the present game better. The latest patch for GTA V made it more fascinating for the fans to enjoy.
It’s been over nine years since the release of this action-adventure game, meaning a whole generation of gamers literally grew up playing it. But despite being so old it doesn’t fail to surprise GTA fans. Rockstar keeps bringing in new features to this nine-year-old game. This time they brought ray-traced reflections into the game.

Rockstar games introduce ray-traced reflections in GTA V
The American game developers introduced Patch 1.64 for Grand Theft Auto V. However, this new patch is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/s, Xbox One, and PC. The main attraction of this patch would be the ray-traced reflection for the fidelity mode.
For those not well aware of ray tracing, let’s get a little technical to understand it. Ray tracing is a technology used to make the game more realistic by emulating the reflection and refraction of light similarly to in a real-world environment.
GTA V players would enjoy great details and contrast on vehicles, characters, and on any kind of reflective or glossy surface. Undoubtedly, these features would make the game more appealing and realistic. But it will only work with the game’s Fidelity Mode.
However, this patch would add a limitation for players on PC. They won’t be able to enjoy this game with all setups, as it will require PC setups with strong processors and GPUs that support ray-tracing technology. Additionally, fans wouldn’t be able to enjoy the gameplay with this patch at more than 30 FPS, as it only works with Fidelity Mode.
What do the fans have to say about the new Patch 1.64?
The Grand Theft Auto community isn’t much impressed by the new patch. As most fans believe there would be no fun to enjoy the realistic visuals from this new Patch 1.64 if the framerates are capped at 30 FPS. Another fan asked Rockstar Games to stop developing this nine-year-old game any further. Possibly, that fan just wants to hear them announce the next title now.
RT is ALWAYS going to be pointless to me as long as it’s capped at 30 frames.

They surely could try it at 40fps for 120hz displays, but they just don't care enough.

RT is awesome until you play it at 30fps pic.twitter.com/FHjQkcBKzE
