God of War Ragnarok really swayed the gamers this year, despite arriving almost at the end of 2022. The PlayStation 5 exclusive smashed all the records while becoming one of the best-rated titles of the year. Thanks to a charismatic impact of its characters, especially Kratos, it eventually won the Best Performance trophy for Christopher Judge in The Game Awards event.

Since the first God of War’s debut in 2018, Christopher Judge has made the role of Kratos his own. Probably that’s the reason why he emerged as the top performer among other nominees. However, what made his victory even more special was getting the award from none other than the Godfather himself – Al Pacino!

Taking place in the Microsoft Theater, the biggest night for gaming enthusiasts saw the Best Performance winner sporting an attractive outfit for the biggest occasion. Christopher Judge not only stole the show with his suit but also with his epic speech after accepting the award for God of War Ragnarok in which he played Kratos.

During his speech at The Game Awards, he jokingly said that if he previously knew he was auditioning for the role in a video game, he would have changed his mind. It’s because prior to God of War, Judge was working to be a film actor, but eventually, he ended up stepping into the shoes of Kratos.

“I was the last actor in California to read for (God of War). And Cory (former director of the game) said to me he didn’t think I would do it. And if I would’ve known it was a video game, back then, I might not have.”

Taking his award for Best Performance from the Godfather legend Al Pacino turned out to be a huge fan moment for the voice-acting icon. After ending his speech, Christopher Judge gave a very heart-warming hug to the Hollywood veteran. “I Met Al Pacino!”, he said while going off the stage along with the Godfather star himself.

One could definitely notice the smile on his face after accomplishing his dream. Not only he won at The Game Awards ceremony but got to meet the famous Hollywood actor as well.
