Ubisoft in the past number of years has announced various new games such as a reboot of its prime stealth action game Splinter Cell, this game we can expect to see coming anytime this year. It announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Red, and Hexe, the latter two being just codenames of the franchise’s future games that are in production. Assassin’s creed Mirage would release sooner than others as it was revealed in 2022 and is expected to launch sometime this year.
It is said to be the game that would return the series to its original form. With more focus on stealth, parkour, and assassinations. While Red would be more like Assassin’s creed Valhalla and Odyssey, a more beginner-focused minimalistic loot-based RPG experience.
Hexe is said to be something different altogether. It is said to be an Assassin’s creed game set during the witch trials in the Holy Roman Empire. It is expected to have some sort of supernatural elements to it too, or who knows, fans might finally see the first-ever horror game in the series!

And we have a game called Skull and Bones, which started developing in 2013. When it was first revealed, it was supposed to be released in 2018, then the release date was moved to 2019, then it was pushed back to April 2021–March 2022 fiscal year. And now it has been pushed yet again to 2023-2024. It is being said that Ubisoft is facing major hurdles with the development of this game. Fans might yet see it happen, but not anytime soon.
Other bad news is Ubisoft is not in a very good condition internally, hence it has canceled at least three unannounced upcoming games, no one knows what those games were, but knowing would not do any good either.
Fans of Ubisoft are not very happy with this development
This news has shocked numerous fans of this publisher. It came as a surprise because Ubisoft usually announces games first and develops them later, so it is weird that it even had a number of unannounced games in development.

The future of games is getting grim.
Too many of these companies are just absolutely not the same as they were from my youths greatest memories.
So sad to see rockstar, Ubisoft, Bethesda and many more go to the dogs.
Money will turn a good business bad it shows

Random question, do smaller teams build games faster? I haven’t seen Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell in a while.

Yes mega-brands are to blame… It's definitely not using the same formula over and over and over and over and over again. Ubisoft out here blaming everything but themselves. Elden Ring and God of war didn't seem to be affected by it 🤣

They really need to put Far Cry and Watchdogs on hiatus for a few years and focus on something else. I really hope we get a sequel to Immortals some day.
