Michael, Franklin, and Lamar are so memorable to the community mostly because of their iconic voices that brought these characters to life. However, the voices we all know so well could have been entirely different, as some of GTA V’s actors have revealed recently.

In the interview, Fonteno says, “My competition was strong“. It’s understandable when he mentions the names that Rockstar could have gone for. Rappers Nipsey Hussle, Young Gangsta, and Problem all had auditioned for the roles of either Franklin or Lamar. He says jokingly that Rockstar had all the streets lined up to be part of the landmark game. Fenton further said anyone who is a rapper turned up for a chance to be part of something massive.
