The state of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has been abysmal to say the least since its debut in 2022. Along with the free-to-play title Warzone 2, it has failed to impress a large section of the community across the globe. And there are many reasons for the situation the series is in right now.

Despite the constant backlash and complaints regarding the existing gameplay experience, the developers at Activision have hardly made any solid improvements in the current entries. Moreover, they have also disappointed a lot of users in terms of eliminating cheaters and online hackers. All things considered, Activision seems to have lost a lot of ground in terms of keeping the players engaged and interested in its games.

Jev reveals how the fans have stopped taking Call of Duty seriously, even on social media

The reputed gamer and YouTuber is one of the most popular COD players on the internet. However, his stance towards the franchise has changed in the last few months. Due to the lack of communication and improvements from the side of the devs, he’s become less active in the ongoing installments. Instead, he’s been playing the old titles more frequently.

In one of his newest videos, Jev showed how Activision has lost its significance among the Call of Duty players. He tried to show a tweet from the official account of the series where only a handful of people reacted; this wasn’t the case in the past.

Jev told that fans have clearly lost their interest in Call of Duty due to the state of the games at the moment. And now, they don’t even care to reply in order to show some kind of engagement whatsoever. “The disrespect is getting hilarious”, he said while mocking the publisher. Players were seen taking a jab at the makers for ruining the FPS experience and failing to bring much-needed refinements.

It looks like the people running the franchise will have to pull up their socks sooner than later. Otherwise, the iconic IP might end up losing its entire fanbase in the coming years.
