HBO’s The Last of Us series has been anticipated not only by fans but also by other prominent individuals in the industry. Recently the actor from the highly acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has claimed that the television adaptation of Naughty Dog’s magnum opus is the much-needed ray of hope in the world of video game movie adaptations.

Many other popular titles such as Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, and more had dipped their toes in the Hollywood business, but the end result was the same for all of them. A very bland and unimpressive movie that is unable to impress either loyal fans or casual moviegoers.

The video game movie adaptation record is so bad that people started believing it is under a curse and it may never break. But the upcoming television series is based on Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog’s highly acclaimed “masterpiece”, The Last of Us, produced by HBO Max is showing some serious promise, and it is expected to beat the curse.

After attending the premier of the show, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order actor Cameron Monaghan recently tweeted, “Happy to say that between TLOU and last year’s wonderful @arcaneshow, the videogame adaptation curse has finally been broken.” Claims that after last year League of Legends television series “Arcane” and HBO’s The Last of Us, the curse of the gaming adaptations has been lifted.
