Mortal Kombat 1 is one of the highly anticipated titles of 2023. It is going to be released on 19th September this year, with early access beginning five days earlier.

But way before its release, excitement has been piling up as there are rumors that the characters of the famous TV series The Boys will be joining Mortal Kombat 1 as guest characters. A recent revelation from the official TikTok account of the TV series about this rumor has got the gaming community talking.

Homelander Joins Mortal Kombat 1

There were rumors from Windows Central that DC characters along with The Boys‘ Homelander may be joining the Mortal Kombat roster as guest characters. Now, after considering the recent activity on the show’s official TikTok account, it is possible that the rumors may be true.

In a TikTok video about the collaboration between The Boys and Call of Duty, one fan asked about the possibility of a collaboration with Mortal Kombat as well.

In reply, the official account for The Boys commented “MK Confirmed”, giving signs of a collaboration between The Boys and Mortal Combat.

Later on, the official account stated “Homelander will be available at some point. That’s all we can say.

Although we didn’t get any updates on Peacemaker or any other DC superheroes, the news of Homelander joining the latest Mortal Kombat roster is a treat for all the fans out there.

Amazon Italy Unveils Other Characters

Earlier this year, Amazon Italy added a Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 on their website. The description of this product has revealed a lot of information about the game’s roster.

According to the product description, there is a collaboration with characters from different universes, including Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omni-Man. It was also revealed that Ferra, Khameleon, Mavdado, and Johnny Cage will be available as Kameo fighters. Another exciting part about the description is the potential return of previous characters like Ermac, Takeda , and Quan Chi.

Since Homelander has been confirmed to be part of the collaboration, it seems that the leak from Amazon was a legit one and we might see other characters in the Mortal Kombat roster as mentioned in the description.
