“That Was the Phone Call That Saved the Product!” – Logan Paul Shares How Prime Almost Lost $100 Million Because of KSI

Currently, one of the biggest and most influential creator-made brands in the world is none other than KSI and Logan Paul’s hydration beverage brand, named PRIME Hydration. In just 13 months of its inception, the product has spread across the world and has turned into a multimillion-dollar enterprise. 

However, all this almost never happened as one of the co-founders, KSI, almost bailed out during the initial stages of the company and potentially made the company suffer a massive loss. During their world tour, Logan shared how this stunt by KSI almost cost hundreds of millions of dollars for the company.

KSI almost left Prime the day before production 

“JJ” Olatunji aka KSI is undoubtedly a phenomenal entity among content creators. The young influencer not only possesses multiple successful channels on YouTube, but he is also a rising star in the boxing world as well as a notable music artist. Other than Prime, he also has ownership of the boxing card organizing company, MisfitBoxing. 

Almost a year ago JJ join forces with his former rival to introduce their own brand, PRIME hydration which surprised fans all over the world. After getting the upper hand on Logan in the boxing ring, fans expected there would be some beef among them, but this sudden development was expected by no one.

KSI himself was having double thoughts about this partnership. So much so that he decided to leave the endeavor just before the grand launch. There were almost 10 million bottles in production, each with his name on it. If KSI had left the scene on the spot, the company would have lost almost $100 million.

“The day before (production) he left the group chat. His manager calls me and says, “hey man I am sorry it is not working. JJ is not going to be able to do the project with you guys.” I was like, what is he saying! It is going to production tomorrow,” said Logan Paul during a radio interview. Seeing things are going in the worst direction, Logan took things into his own hands and confronted KSI. 

“Hey man, I don’t wanna do this without you. I don’t wanna make this drink company without your help. I can’t do this all by myself, I need you,” said Logan. Listening to this one of the hosts exclaimed, “so that was the phone call that saved the product!” which Logan affirmed. Without his call, PRIME may have never been as successful as it is right now.
