Collaboration is a huge trend right now. There is no better way to promote than through collaborations. And the most popular collaborations right now are those between gaming titles and movies or actors. Fortnite is about to collaborate with the popular science fiction TV series ‘Doctor Who’. Now, Hitman seems to be following in the same footsteps.

IO Interactive, the developer of Hitman: World of Assassinations, announced the game will be collaborating with real-life DJ and actor Dimitri Vegas for something that has been missing in the game for quite some time.

Dimitri Vegas is a Belgian DJ who pairs up with his brother Mike to form a DJ duo. So, IO Interactives is going to collaborate with Dimitri Vegas on a brand new Elusive Target for Hitman: World of Assassinations.

Elusive Targets are high-value and unique contracts that are outside the main storyline. In this high-stakes contract, you have to assassinate the elusive target in just one go. Yes, you read it right. If you failed to kill the target, then there’s no way you can retry this contract. Not only that but if you succeed, you will get unique and rare rewards.

And this game has been missing a new Elusive Target since “The Ascensionist” in 2021. That’s why IO Interactive has announced the grand return of Elusive Target, based on Dimitri Vegas, which will launch in the fall of 2023. The Elusive Target will be inspired by the likeness and voiceover work of Vegas.

Needless to say, the Hitman trilogy is bundled together as Hitman: World of Assassination. That’s why Hitman 3 has been rebranded, and Hitman 1 and 2 have been removed from all the stores. According to Christian Elverdam, IO Interactive Chief Creative Officer, this step is taken to centralize the whole focus on the highly anticipated James Bond game.

Fans are on board for this collaboration

Fans are thrilled to hear the announcement. Here are some fan reactions:
