Chris Tyson has been part of the MrBeast channel ever since its budding days. Moreover, Tyson has been a close friend of Jimmy for a pretty long time. Thus, when they revealed their HRT journey, the internet erupted. Fans expressed their support for Chris, while there were some voices criticizing their decision.

Chris and MrBeast gave fitting replies to these criticisms. Now, in a recent BANTER podcast, Chris was seen talking about the time when they realized their identity, and how it progressed into their recent decision.

The MrBeast brand is one of the most popular figures on the internet. So, when an update regarding any member comes forth, it goes viral in the community. Thus, when Chris came out talking about their HRT decision, it became a hot pot for debate. Recently Tyson talked about the first time they felt they were different during their childhood days.

Brought up in a southern Christian family, the ideas of gender and sexuality were something of a taboo for Chris’s family. Chris was really into fashion, but it was not their closet, but their sister’s closet that caught Chris’s eye. Even though Chris started identifying the difference at a young age, they knew they had to hide it. The conservative social milieu might well have been a cause of that, and Chris chose to not explore what they felt like in public.

Thus, even though Chris continued to explore, it was restricted to the four walls of their room. This was until Tyson turned 14 years old. During that time they decided to socialize more and make new friends. Apparently, Chris had a girl best friend during that time, with whom they used to message a bit about their explorations.

But unfortunately, one day the girl’s mother confiscated her phone and read the chats with Chris and it turned everything upside down.

“That drove me back into the closet really hard,” stated Chris. This decision was after the best friend’s mother decided to disclose the contents of Chris’s texts.

Thus Tyson had to wait quite a long to again fully explore their identity, which got suppressed due to that childhood incident. According to Chris, it was the MrBeast channel, and the fame that followed with it which provided the needed support for them.

The fame that they received through the channel worked as a supporting pillar that helped Chris explore what they had suppressed in their childhood. And it has culminated in their HRT journey. Chris is quite glad that it turned around for them, and we can expect them in the upcoming MrBeast videos as well.
