Animal Crossing: New Horizons player loses the Nintendo game to a dog bite
Ever since its debut in 2020, ACNH has kept most of the players hooked onto their handheld consoles due to a compelling design and interface. The most amazing aspect of the online simulation title is that it allows you to customize your island in different ways. Furthermore, you can keep making it more adorable and beautiful overtime by adding interesting elements.
However, all this effort can go in vain if you happen to lose the game in an unexpected incident. One Animal Crossing: New Horizons user met with such a nightmarish situation recently as they shared their story on Reddit.
Known by the name of u/SenseiRaf on the social platform, the user lost their Animal Crossing cartridge to a dog bite. It may sound weird at first but it’s actually true. The player even posted an image of the damaged cartridge. The cute culprit can also be seen clearly in the picture.

While it was a painful incident to go through for the ACNH player, fans on Reddit had some hilarious reactions to this story. Some of them mentioned that the dog was probably jealous due to their owner being busy with the animals of the Nintendo exclusive, rather than spending time with him in real life. And that’s why he ate the cartridge to show a feeling of anger.
“That animal crossed you”, one fan wrote while taking a jab at the situation.
On the other hand, some users came to the rescue of the player by informing about the fact their game file is still safe on the Switch itself. Despite a damaged cartridge, the main file won’t be lost whatsoever. Hence, the fans advised the affected user to contact Nintendo to send a them a digital copy of ACNH.
