Starfield is making things happen. The Xbox exclusive has been the first major intellectual property of Bethesda Games in almost thirty years and the wait seems to be worth it. The expansive new game recorded six million players within a couple of days of release, making it the biggest release by the studio ever. Moreover, the game was topping several charts even before its release. Only last week, Starfield also topped the UK Boxed Charts in terms of physical sales.

Now, it looks like the game is also helping Microsoft significantly. Thanks to Starfield, Xbox consoles have sold the most number of units this year in the UK, marking last week as the biggest one in 2023.

Starfield has been performing well in the UK since it was released. While the game itself is being showered with vehement praises by the community, it is also turning out to be a boon for Xbox as well. This game is the first Xbox exclusive in a long time and the title is helping Xbox to record massive sales numbers in the UK. Combined with Starfield, the new 1 TB Xbox Series S recorded massive sales in the UK this last week. According to data, a 76% increase in Xbox consoles has helped Xbox to register its best performance of the year so far.

The new 1Tb Xbox Series S model accounted for 24% of all Xbox consoles sold in the UK this week. While the model has been slammed for its poor performance on multiple occasions, its recent sales numbers are undoubtedly encouraging for Microsoft. While the bigger hard drive did help to increase sales of the Xbox Series S models, it has also gained a lot of advantages thanks to Starfield. According to the source, the Bethesda title has helped to increase the number of Xbox Series X sales by 46%, which isn’t too shabby either.
