In the recent round of fundraisers, the Polish game development studio Bloober Team found support from Chinese and Japanese studios. Tencent, Take-Two, and Konami have now joined hands with the Polish studio, which recently produced the mega-successful title ‘The Medium’.
This move has made the conglomerate a massive 22% stake in the company. Among the foreign investors, Tencent’s investment stands the biggest, as the studio shelled out $19.5 million.

Tencent believes in Bloober Team’s immense potential
The polish studio has made significant headways in the horror genre. A roster of gripping titles like Layers of Fear, Blair Witch, Observer System Redux, and The Medium. The Medium has been by far the most ambitious and biggest project the studio has ever taken up.
The title has mostly received positive reviews across a number of platforms, which serves as a piece of great news. The title has mostly received positive reviews on Metacritic, with the final rating being 75% positive. Tech Radar rates it as a 4.5/5 rating, and PC Gamer has granted it an impressive 95% positive review.
The medium carried a rather daunting storyline that revolved around two different universes that simultaneously existed. Every move you make, and each decision will have a significant impact on the other. Gamers step into the shoes of Mary Anne, who is a spirit guide and is capable of perceiving both universes.

Her unique strength and supernatural powers insert her in a disturbing case that involves disturbing murders that have taken place across various hotels and areas. Bloober Team has done a fantastic job in pulling off this rather tricky concept that is almost too complicated to even take on.
The success of this ground-breaking horror title has definitely helped Bloober Team gain more prominence. The new partnerships and enhanced cash flow will definitely allow the studio to take an even more challenging project that will grant fans the much-needed dose of horror they so desperately want.

This title was released earlier in the year across all major platforms in Xbox Series X/S PC and PlayStation 5.
