The fighting game fans will feel good this year, as not only one but two of the biggest names in the genre, Tekken and Street Fighter will potentially be releasing in the upcoming months. Both titles have been dropping teasers and trailers left and right to keep the hype alive, revealing more and more appealing aspects of their games.
Recently Tekken 8, dropped a new gameplay trailer, showcasing yet another fighter joining the new roster, Emilie De Rochefort aka Lili. The trailer showcased some of her movesets as well as shed light on some aspects of the gameplay. Following the recent official introductory stream by Bandai Namco, this new reveal showcases some of the discussed mechanics in action.
Lili joins the battle in Tekken 8

In a brand new 2-minute 15-second long video, Bandai Namco revealed the Rose of the Rochefort family, Lili. Equipped with her fatal charm and lighting-fast movesets, Lili is back to dominate the tournaments with vicious power and elegant beauty. In Tekken 8, Lili has also received a visual update, but most of her signature styles have been kept the same. Check out the video below.
Other than Lili, the confirmed fighters so far are Asuka Kazama, Leroy Smith, Jack-8, Jin Kazama, Jun Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, King II, Lars Alexandersson, Ling Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Nina Williams, and Paul Phoenix.

Each of the classic characters has been given a makeover and outfits with a modern touch.

Tekken 8 was announced back in September 2022, in the PlayStation State of Play livestream. It has been confirmed that Tekken 8 will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. In the aforementioned Introductory live stream, it was revealed that Bandai Namco would hold a closed alpha test for Tekken 8 across multiple locations globally to gather feedback.

The first closed beta was organized at the EVO Japan event. Players had to apply through a special website to be a part of the test. The beta test was held from March 31 to April 2. It has been revealed that Tekken 8 will be featuring cross-play, which means players can seamlessly alternate from console to PC version without losing any progress.
