Just two months from launch, Tekken 8 has already surpassed a lot of fan expectations. The latest information made public hints at a strong comeback of Bandai Namco’s forever-celebrated epic. And the latest bit of intel has revealed the game’s PC requirements.

As the game went live for pre-order on Steam, the PC requirements were made public and invited a lot of community discussion around the potential of Tekken 8. Why? The latest revealed information screams Call of Duty.

While Tekken 8 is set to release on January 26, 2024, the year will also later mark the 30th anniversary of the franchise. So the buzz around the project is understandably high. The game went live for pre-order on Steam, giving an insight on what Bandai Namco has to offer with the forthcoming installment. Naturally, all players want to know how much space they will need. And as it happens, the installation size for Tekken 8 is 100 GB.

The size for console versions remains unknown for now, but can be expected to be marginally less or the same as that of PC. For a lot of gamers, the scale of the installation size required by the game came as a huge surprise. Comparing the 100 GB requirement to its predecessor Tekken 7, which required 60 GB of storage, this sounds like a huge leap. Hopefully, a ‘happy jump’ for gamers!

Interestingly, a lot of gaming pundits also compared the anticipated project with the FPS classic label Call of Duty. The recently released Modern Warfare 3 requires 149 GB, unless players already have COD HQ and Warzone installed, in which case it will be 78 GB.

The game can be played on outdated CPUs and GPUs, such as the AMD Ryzen 5 1600/Intel Core i5-6600K and the AMD Radeon R9 380X/GeForce GTX 1050Ti, albeit it is not stated at what resolution. Players will have a better experience with the Intel Core i7-7700K/AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and RTX 2070/RX 5700 XT, albeit once again, the intended resolution for these specifications is unknown. Meanwhile, a consistent framerate of 60 frames per second and higher is guaranteed by both the minimum and suggested specifications.
