Speedrunner becomes just the third person in the world to finish Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. under 4 minutes and 55 seconds!
Super Mario Bros. is the successor to 1983’s Mario Bros. and was released in 1985. It was then ported to international arcades as well a year later. In this game, players control Mario or his brother Luigi in multiplayer mode while going through the Mushroom Kingdom to save Princess Toadstool from King Koopa. This character later was named Bowser.
Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka were the designers of this decades-old Nintendo classic. It’s been called one of the greatest video games of all time, due to having spectacular controls. Not to mention that it’s also one of the best-selling titles for the Japanese giant.

Modern-day players are still in love with this game. And it was proved once again when a speedrunner managed to complete Super Mario Bros. in a stunning duration. A YouTuber, going by the channel name Nebula Gamer, recently posted a video from the gameplay of the iconic title.

As you can see above, Nebula Gamer succeeds in finishing the entire quest of the game in under 4 minutes and 55 seconds. With that, he has become only the third speedrunner in the world to do so.
This huge achievement is a result of extreme hard work put in by the player, according to the description mentioned under the video. It took nearly two and a half years to master this title and eventually beat it under the aforementioned time. Such dedication seriously deserves tons of praise.
