This could mean that the days of the Switch are limited unless Nintendo decides to launch some serious updates for the system. But according to the YouTuber, Spawn Wave Plus’s new video. This pivotal phase is very crucial for not just Switch but for Nintendo itself.
What is the future of Nintendo Switch?
As the sales figures plummet, Nintendo has to act fast if they want to save their system. Ever since the release of the console, there weren’t been any serious hardware updates in the series. Though other versions of the systems were released, like Switch lite and Switch OLED, they weren’t enough to motivate consumers to buy new systems.

According to Spawn Wave Plus, Nintendo needs to release some serious updates for their systems. Like a “Pro” version with massive hardware improvements such as, 4K display, smoother Gameplay, and other upgrades.
As stated by the Current President of Nintendo, Shuntaro Furukawa, Nintendo needs to act fast on the launch of the upgrades to Switch or the next generation console. In order to avoid the situation that happened to Nintendo Wii U. Though, Nintendo dominated the market for 4 years with Wii, the Wii U couldn’t perform well as it was, “Just too late,” to come out.

Was the Switch product a failure?
Though the sales of the system are getting low, that doesn’t mean that Switch was a failure by any means. Till now Nintendo Switch has sold over 111 Million+ consoles. Making Switch the third most well-performing system in Nintendo’s history, it is right behind Gameboy, and DS.
The game catalog of the system is phenomenal so far. The system witnessed critically acclaimed and massively successful titles like Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Breath of the wild, Metroid: Dread, and many more. So, in the end, we can say that though the days of the beloved hybrid system are numbered, the influence and legacy it has will not be forgotten anytime soon.
