Baldur’s Gate 3 is being hailed as one of the competitors for the ‘Game Of The Year’ spot. Larian’s latest Dungeons & Dragons-themed game has fans going nuts with its scope. Many players have already completed the game more than once and can’t get over how well-made Baldur’s Gate 3 feels. However, in a recent interview, Larian Boss Swen Vincke explained that Baldur’s Gate 3 may be launched on the Xbox soon enough.

For now, the game i available to only PC users. Console release dates aren’t confirmed just yet. With the game slated to be launched on the PlayStation 5 console within 2023, the newly surfaced piece of information is likely to make Xbox fans super happy.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is about to hit Xbox

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been released on PC and a PS5 launch date is set on September 6. Understandably, Xbox users also want in on the fun and Larian Director Vincke just may have some good news for them. In a recent interview, Vincke said, “It’s 2023. And 2023 is narrowing, so it’s already pretty precise in my book. Between September and November… So, as fast as we can honestly“.

Baldur’s Gate 3 received exceptionally good reviews after release. Since the game was launched without early access, most players went in without much idea about what to do. However, Larian managed to prove that going old-school and removing things like microtransactions from the game was a smart decision. Fans are loving the game so far and we fully understand why.

Xbox release for Baldur’s Gate 3 confirmed?

Vincke also said that after the release of the game on PS5, Larian will focus on making it playable on Xbox consoles. Vincke hinted that Baldur’s Gate 3 may be ready for the Xbox Series X release. From a technical and content perspective, the game seems to be very close to being released on Xbox. The delay in releasing the game on Xbox occurred due to the issue of split-screen playability on the Xbox Series S. However, the devs came to a negotiation with Xbox and the feature is altogether removed for the Series S consoles.

Vincke also said that the studio is focused on making the game playable to more players. So reducing the minimum requirement for the PC version is the primary focus for now. A new patch is also expected to arrive by next week, making the game more optimized on every platform. Now, we wait to see when the Xbox gets a taste of Baldur’s Gate 3.
