Being able to craft weapons is not a new thing. Ever since the launch of the first Dead Rising title, gamers have been crafting that nailed bat. And this has only grown. From being able to craft some basic weapons to being able to craft completely weaponized vehicles in Dead Rising 3, we have seen pretty much everything.

The only thing that we have yet to see is the implementation of such features in a Zelda game. And we would not be surprised if we are given such freedom in this upcoming game. Being able to craft your own version of Master Sword does not sound so weird, does it?

Recently popular Twitter user Okami Games mentioned that Tears of the Kingdom would allow players to craft their own weapons. Crafting in this case seems limited to being able to enforce weapons using horns and wings and such parts collected from fallen enemies.

These would be used to give weapons certain special abilities. Maybe this has been done to solve the issue fans were having with weapon durability. Imagine just being able to repair a weapon that’s on the brink of breaking by just crafting a new one out of it.

This can be a game changer and can please those who were not so happy with the weapon durability system of Breath of the Wild.

Is weapon durability so bad though?

While weapon durability might sound like nonsense but if done right, it can give players enough challenge while playing a game.

This was implemented in Dark Souls games to perfection. Using weapons slowly decreased their durability, and using their special powers dropped it significantly. They were repairable though.
