But it seems like the current situation won’t affect the future of the PlayStation and Xbox when it comes to getting a massive update. At least that’s what a recent report from an industry insider suggests, who revealed that a renowned electronics company just announced that both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S will get their Pro versions by the next year.
PlayStation 5 Pro and New Xbox Series X|S are reportedly coming soon!
Tom Henderson is a reputed individual when it comes to sharing the biggest and most crucial gaming stories. This time as well, he came up with a tweet on his account, while dropping a link to a website that covered an important piece regarding PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Going by Henderson’s tweet, the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 are going to get Pro variants between 2023 and 2024. And as per the leaker, this information comes from TCL, the Chinese electronics company. It designs, develops, and manufactures multiple consumer products, including gaming consoles.

Moreover, the translated text from the website that the scooper shared in his tweet, reveals that TCL also mentioned a bump in specs for the next versions of PS5 and Series X and S. Going by the website’s description, the PS5 Pro and the Xbox will offer gameplay ranging from 6o fps to 120 fps at a resolution of 2160p. Plus, they will enable the users to run the games in 8K as well.
Interestingly, though, several fans weren’t extremely surprised, let alone be happy, to witness this news. Most of them couldn’t believe that this update was even true. Some thought it was fake while others suggested that new versions for the consoles are just not possible to arrive soon. Simply because the current generation itself is facing a supply shortage, so it won’t be possible to make their enhanced versions so soon.
Oh, god. Not again.

This is only speculation.. no way TCL would know about ps5 pro and openly talk about it.. we all know there's not gonna be a pro model this gen cuz they can't even make enough ps5s for everybody.. it can't be true lmao

Nah not going to happen considering the chip shortage will last at least until 2024

Y'all gotta stop looking at the 8K number because that isn't happening. They are going to support 8K for video content, not games. The main benefit of these new refresher consoles would be combining the visual look of resolution mode and 60 FPS from performance mode.

What's the context? Are they saying they have knowledge of these consoles coming or are they speculating that if these consoles are in development that's when they expect them to release?
