Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series is undoubtedly one of the most beloved game characters. So, when fans got to see him as a live-action character in the Netflix drama based on Witcher, it was an absolute joy. But the cherry on top was Henry Cavill playing the role of the iconic Witcher.

The fans were enchanted to see Cavill as Geralt. Moreover, the English actor has claimed to be a gamer and fan of the series. So, nobody else could have been a better Geralt than him. But he shocked the fans when the actor announced he will not reprise the role after the upcoming Season 3.

However, Cavill leaving the role of the silver-haired monster slayer wasn’t the end of disappointment for his fans. The news broke out that the English actor would not be wearing his red cape to become Superman anymore. So, The Witcher developers introduced an amazing Easter egg to remember Henry Cavill’s contribution to the series.

The Witcher 3 recently got its next-gen upgrade which introduced improved graphics, smoother gameplay, a simple crafting system, fast travel, and much more. CD-Projekt RED has been working on the next-gen upgrade for a while. But that’s not all. The developers have another special surprise for them.

Recently fans spotted a dog named “Kal” in the Devil’s Pit of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen after choosing the “good” ending in a new in-game quest. But that dog is Cavill’s pet American Akita, whose name is Kal. The developers added this Easter egg to celebrate the actor’s contribution to the series. However, fans weren’t sure about the authenticity of this Easter egg.
But the acting Narrative Director and Lead Quest Designer at CD-Projekt RED, Philipp Webber, confirmed that is a Henry Cavill Easter egg. He shared on his Twitter, “With the sad news about Henry Cavill’s Superman role today, it’s nice that we got a little opportunity to show our appreciation for the great passion and enthusiasm Henry showed for The Witcher.”
