Nintendo isn’t one of the biggest names in the gaming business for nothing. The Japanese gaming giant has some of the most recognized names in the field, grabbing the majority of attention online. Along with its games and consoles, the company has also reached out to millions of more fans across the world with its elaborate theme parks in Japan and the US. For fans, these parks are nothing short of a dream place they would wish to visit every day.

Now, the company has announced further expansion plans for the theme parks in both Japan and America. While the Japanese Nintendo World is expected to have new areas added to the park, there are more such theme parks to pop up across the US.

Nintendo announces more parks to spread joy to fans around the world

According to the latest document from the gaming brand, the Japanese theme park is set to receive a newly expanded area that will focus on Donkey Kong. The legendary 2D game is where the Italian plumber Mario first appeared. Since then, both Mario and the princess kidnapping gorilla have become two of the biggest characters from the Gameboy makers. Now, the brawny ape looks to increase Nintendo World Japan’s total area by almost 1.7 times!

Along with the Japanese park expansion, the video game company has also announced plans for a new Nintendo World in Orlando, US, and another in Singapore. While it’s not confirmed when these two parks will open their gates to visitors, fans can barely sit straight since they have learned of the news.

As part of its second-quarter financial performance reports, Nintendo has unveiled its plans for its IPs (intellectual property). Nintendo feels that even people who have no idea about gaming can enjoy the likes of Mario and Princess Peach considering how these characters look and mingle with the visitors at the theme parks.

Nintendo characters and products still dominate the industry

The Nintendo World in America opened to incredible enthusiasm from the community and thousands visit the park every day, making it one of the most successful theme parks in the world. While the Japanese Nintendo World does have its unique attractions, the one in Hollywood reports steady footfall thanks to its ease of access.

Along with the theme parks, Mario games, and the Nintendo Switch are some of the most-sold titles and consoles respectively.
