Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of 1996’s famous Mario game’s Nintendo Switch remake, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Nintendo initially announced this remake back in June during its Nintendo Direct. However, this Switch remake will soon appear in the market from the 17th of November. While fans are extremely looking forward to its release, Famitsu’s list featured Super Mario RPG remake on the list’s top position.

Famitsu’s report tops Super Mario RPG

Almost everyone is well acquainted with Famitsu’s popularity as a video game magazine. Recently, this magazine conducted a poll between July 27th to August 7th to present the most anticipated games of the year. The voting was entirely based on the readers’ votes. In this result, Super Mario RPG: Legends of the Seven Stars topped the list by receiving a total of 822 votes from the audience. Following this amazing number of votes, fans are definitely waiting for the game’s launch. 

In fact, the Super Mario franchise’s other game Super Mario Bros. Wonder was spotted in the third position after receiving 548 votes from the audience. Super Mario Bros. Wonder will launch on Switch on the 20th of October, which is just a month before the launch of Super Mario RPG Remake’s Switch release. It completely seemed that this year fans are super confident with Mario titles.

Apart from Super Mario RPG: Legends of the Seven Stars, fans could spot other popular games such as Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth in the second position with 816 votes. In this list, DQ Monsters: Dark Prince and Pragmata were visible in the fourth and fifth position respectively following 472 and 403 votes. Famitsu’s chart showed another popular title, Armored Core VI in the eighth position with 334 votes.

Furthermore, Like a Dragon 8 was seen in the sixth position with 350 votes. This franchise’s Like a Dragon Gaiden was also visible in the tenth position with 260 votes. If you think the list ends here, then you are wrong. Famitsu’s most-awaited games of the year list also featured titles like Momotaro Dentetsu World in the seventh position with 336 votes.

Famitsu’s list completely showed the hype about the Super Mario franchise’s Super Mario RPG Remake. However, the game’s performance in the practical field depends on its Switch release on the 17th of November.
