Nintendo is pretty excited about the success of their recently launched Super Mario Bros. movie. The Movie has become a monumental success, beating the likes of Warcraft and Frozen in terms of earnings. On the other hand, Mario Bros. fans are also pretty satisfied as it offers everything they could have ever wanted from a movie based on their favorite plumber and his brother.

This success has even pushed Nintendo towards planning an expansion of this franchise, and the father of Mario himself has confirmed this.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a big enough success to justify at least a sequel. With a star-studded cast and multiple tours, it ultimately rewarded the movie with the above statement. And ‘Peaches’ by Jack Black made it the icing on the cake.

It was even teased in the movie itself. However, what fans have been wondering about is what more can be expected. All the questions point to which other Nintendo games will also make it to the big screen.

And now, after a lot of speculation and rumors, Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto has finally given an update regarding the same. He recently talked to Nikkei and revealed that Nintendo considers itself a talent agency always looking for ways to expand its reach.

His exact words were, “Nintendo is like a talent agency. We have plenty of other entertainers. There are many possible ways we could go, such as using characters that would be fit for movies or very well-known characters.”

It looks like Nintendo is indeed considering bringing its other franchises to the big leagues. One of them might even be in the works. Actor Charlie Day was already talking about a Luigi’s Mansion movie even before the original movie launched.

And now rumors have emerged of that movie being in the very early stages of production. It is also being said that there are talks of The Legend of Zelda films happening behind the scenes. The outcome would not be seen anytime soon though.
