Nintendo fans have been eager to play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom since the prequel came out in 2017. Because of the hype among the fans the upcoming The Legend of Zelda title already bagged an award despite it’s not even released yet. Tears of Kingdom won the Game Award for the most-anticipated game in 2022.

Game Awards is a yearly award ceremony to honor various games and developers for their performance that year. One of the awards at the event is for those games for which fans are eagerly waiting. The upcoming Zelda title took the award in the latest Game Award against titles like Final Fantasy XVI, Hogwarts Legacy, Resident Evil 4, and Starfield.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom is the sequel to Breath of Wild. The events of this game would take place where the previous game left off. Further, it would be an open-world action-adventure game like the past Zelda titles. But the long wait would get over, as we have already entered the year 2023. Only four months are left for the games to hit the shelves on May 12, 2023.

There is no doubt that fans would be eager for this game. After all, The Legend of Zelda is a Nintendo classic title. The first title of this series dropped out in 1987, meaning this series has been around for over three decades. But despite being such an old series, it is still a fan-favorite.

Game Awards recently shared the poster of Tears of Kingdom on Twitter with the caption, “This. Is. The. Year.” This sure attracted the Zelda fans who are eagerly waiting for this year to come when this game will release. So, they shared their eagerness for this Nintendo game in the replies. But some fans criticized Nintendo for its aging hardware which might cause problems.
