In case anyone missed it, the official account of the event had recently dropped the trailer for this year’s fest. As expected, the action-packed clip consisted of amazing sequences from an array of future games. But towards the end of the video, there was a brief shot of Valeria – the famous villain from Modern Warfare II’s Campaign who’s currently available as an Operator for Multiplayer and Warzone 2.

If one has to theorize, Valeria’s presence in the trailer for Summer Game Fest indicates that fans may witness something from Activision during the event. Season 4 has been rumored to arrive on June 14. Now given the fact this date is already close, the makers will surely try to generate a hype for the next update before its release. So what could be a better option than to drop a teaser trailer during the upcoming event itself?

However, there’s another speculation that may rule out this theory. Summer Game Fest’s host Geoff Keighley has clearly mentioned that the event’s trailer doesn’t confirm anything for any game. And that fans should hold on to their expectations. “Note this trailer isn’t intended to confirm or deny any games that will be featured during Summer Game Fest season. Stay tuned to
