There are certain myths and legends associated with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While some hold to be fake and just another bluff in the air, others tend to be true at times. A myth surrounding two of the villagers in the game, Timmy and Tommy were tested out by YouTuber NintenTalk and the results indeed were true to the myth.

For context, Timmy and Tommy start following your character every time you are inside Nook’s Cranny. There is an ingenious way to stop it and here is how it can be done.

How to stop Timmy and Tommy from following in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Timmy and Tommy might seem like two cute villagers who are always around at Nook’s Cranny. However, them following you at each and every corner might seem to get a bit annoying at times. One myth that has been quite prevalent in the ACNH community is that Timmy and Tommy can be stopped from following when pushed towards the top right corner of the store.

To test this out, NintenTalk actually tries to push them towards the corner towards the top of Nook’s Cranny. Fortunately, when both Timmy and Tommy are at the corner most part, at the top, they eventually stop following the player character.

The video consists of more such myths that are either true or false in the game. NintenTalk tries each and every myth out in accordance with their description and busts some of the most prevalent ones in the community.

Another myth that the YouTuber tested out was trying to attract rare fishes through Ocarina. To test this, NintenTalk used 10 fish baits along with the Ocarina. After catching a lot of fish, the results did not seem to satisfy at all. There were not many rare fishes and most of them were the common ones that can be found while fishing. So evidently, this myth stands busted since it is false.
