Right now, the whole world is buzzing with only one word: Starfield. Bethesda’s first new IP in 25 years, the action RPG is arguably the biggest and most ambitious projects on the Xbox till date. The anticipation was so high; it topped steam charts even prior to its release. A game this big naturally comes with lofty expectations, especially in terms of gameplay. And before the release, the game was supposed to be the cleanest of all in terms of bugs and glitches.

Bethesda has a history where bugs are concerned. Remember Fallout 76? However, Starfield was tipped to be a near bug-free experience. Although, after the full release of the game, the game has already started showing a hilarious glitch that has caught everyone’s eye.

After the release of Starfield, players are encountering lots of bugs and glitches. You can steal the Mark 1 spacesuit from the basement of The Lodge for free without needing to level up the lock-picking skill. Another prominent bug in the game is that the loading screens are taking eight times longer to load than they usually do.

However, the one bug that attracted everyone’s attention was one where all crew members would go for a space walk rather than be in the spaceship. There is a robot companion NPC called Vasco, who is supposed to be stored in an external bay on the ship, but he comes outside and makes a walk on the spacecraft wall above the cockpit.

On this note, the Senior Vice President of Bethesda, Pete Hines, stated, “We could make a safer, less buggy, less risky game if we wanted to.” Hines claimed they absolutely do not deserve the reputation of buggy game makers. However, as things stand, this reputation might well carry forward with Starfield.

Fans are bugged

With the amount of promise and expectations that were attached to the Starfield’s build up, fans have yet again been on the receiving end of bugs. And they are clearly not happy about it.

Players have a robot companion, Vasco. And there have been reports of bugs related to the NPC. For example, there is one where the robot abandons a mission by making its own decision. And now, this user has pointed out yet another one.

Granted, it’s a game. However, finding characters atop the spaceship in outer space is perhaps a bit of a stretch? A user has cheekily pointed out the same.
