One of the most anticipated titles of the year, Starfield is set to hit sales in September. There’s hardly been a day when the game hasn’t made the headlines for wild fan theories. Adding to these crazy speculations, major leaks have also kept the fans on edge. Now, the latest rumor has ignited a lot of excitement among the fans. 

The upcoming Sci-Fi open-world adventure is branded as Bethesda’s finest work to date. Naturally, fans feel the game couldn’t come sooner. To fuel the anticipation, a Starfield community page shared another rumor. Earlier there were claims from anonymous players who were subjected to the gameplay. They had called Starfield “a challenging game to review”. Well, it seems like the makers are bringing the challenge to the community sooner than we expected.

There have been quite some predictions around the early access on Starfield and the review codes. Earlier, it was predicted that the early access and review codes might be coming out on the same day. According to previous claims, review codes were expected to come out by September 1, a few days before the launch. But Tom Henderson, owner of Insider Gaming made a striking revelation. The latter, reacting to a tweet about the review code launch, wrote, “They go out later this week.”

This comes as a major twist in the expected Starfield layout. A review code basically refers to the developers providing a game’s codes to media personnel for review before release. These reviews are usually embargoed until a certain time and date, which is when creators and news outlets can begin posting their reviews. With the reports of review code coming in way earlier, players might be getting a lot of potential insiders on the game days before its launch.

The gaming community has surreal expectations from Starfield. Considering the efforts Microsoft has made in hyping up Starfield, there’s significant confidence the console giant has shown in the label. Of course, a game on the scale of Starfield can only be analyzed after players are subjected to the experience. Hence, the review codes might be answers to a lot of fan theories. The reviews might also hint if the game stays up to the expectations as an experience. Not to forget, Starfield is possibly the most difficult game to review due to the scale of the open world.
