When Microsoft purchased Zenimax, it was obvious that the purchase was to gain more and more exclusives for its Xbox consoles. This multi-billion-dollar purchase came too soon, though as at that moment, most of Bethesda’s games were under development. And those that were completed were already slated to launch as multiplatform.
Microsoft still gained an upper hand by making those games available for their Game Pass service. But from 2023 on, the exclusives would start dropping in too. Starfield would be the first and biggest yet. And then comes the next game from Wolfenstein developers Machine Games. It is a licensed game based on the Indiana Jones series, and it would borrow an interesting mechanic from Bethesda’s RPGs.

Bethesda’s Machine Games is currently working very hard on two projects, one of which is rumored to be the unannounced Hexen game. The other is, as everyone knows, an action-adventure licensed game based on the celebrated Indiana Jones series.
This game, just like the movies it’s based on, will feature everyone’s favorite explorer, Indiana Jones, as the protagonist as he goes on a completely original adventure. It would obviously be a Triple-A blockbuster title with all the bells and whistles of a big-budget game.
Now, it has recently been reported that gameplay-wise, it is being suggested that this upcoming game would include both first- and third-person camera angles. This would not be very different from other games in Bethesda’s catalog, such as the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series.
Fans would also be surprised to know that recent developments have revealed that this upcoming game will only be an Xbox exclusive. This is not surprising given the fact that Microsoft now owns the company developing this upcoming action-adventure game.
Would it be a rival to the PlayStation-exclusive Uncharted series?
Fans are expecting this game to rival Sony’s big-budget action-adventure franchise, Uncharted. It would not even be surprising if the rumored next installment in the Uncharted series releases alongside it.

There are many similarities between these games. It is not hidden from anyone that Uncharted was indeed inspired by Indiana Jones movies to some extent. It would be interesting to see if the Indiana Jones game stays faithful to its license; otherwise, people have Uncharted anyway.
